This thread has reminded me what a consumer whore I am. I'm gonna stop wasting so much money but the only thing I'll not change is food shopping, I like my good food goddamnit!

The perfect solution for those that hate work.. Think outside the box.

Buy yourself a caravan for say £20k. Read librairy books, cut your drinking in half.. cook all your own food. Buy all your clothes from Oxfam.. make your own music.

Retire when you're 45.

I don't think I could cut my expenditure, it's already ludicrously low, though I have cut my working life.

If you're not materialistic or living down south or in a city you don't need to slog your guts out.
That has probably changed now, but I am so out of touch with a working world I truly don't know.
