Hairy armpits

I know, I was quite offended at being thought of as disgusting, minging, vile etc...

I wash every day, I wear make up and do my hair - it's not like I have not shaving has turned me into a filthy slob.

Even if you didn't wear make up and do your hair, you wouldn't be a filthy slob, IMO.

That documentary was quite reactionary and annoyed me a bit with all the horror and surprise that some women don't shave, it's not that big a deal really. :(

Personally I do shave my armpits but not with any real regularity unless it's summer.
This summer I did consider not shaving them and tried for a week or so but I want my students to be looking at me, not my armpits.

I'm also interested if any men shave their pits - I used to go out with someone who did, and I didn't much like it.

Either shave completely or trim it very short, especially if I'm doing a lot of sport - it looks and feels better.

Used to shave, for years, the bloody lot

Stopped about 5 years ago, and never looked back. I like my hairy armpits, legs, and bits. Saves me a fuckload of time, razors, shaving gel, and being-arsed-ness:cool:

for myself - shaved cos I like the feel of it.
for anyone else - whatsoever they please and feels good to them.

Its a personal preference and that makes it no-one elses business.

I shave my legs if anyone is going to see them. Don't bother shaving my armpits though, and no-one other than my mum and sister has ever told me it looks disgusting.

So do I. I knew someone who was like that with painted toenails tho - thought that unpainted ones were just disgusting.........weird.

She's fine with it now  Means I can stretch out on the couch in me boxers and not get shouts of 'oh muuum, ewwww' :D

You mean you wear skin-hugging combinations ?

No, i'm not wearing anything skin hugging at the mo but my inner arms are not sticking to my torso coz it's covered !

I shave my underarms and legs most days. Just 'feels' nicer imo. :)

I'm starting to worry you have some ocd thing going on with ironing and shaving :p

Armpits get shaved if I'm wearing a vest or sleeveless T, can't be bothered otherwise.

I will be epilating my legs occasionally during the winter this year coz it was a bit sore when I started again this year.

lets hear it for hair!

when I've shaved/trimmed my bush too close (v rare as its a big job) I lost sexual sensitivity so i reckon its there for a reason and i leave it be

I never had much hair anyway, and used to just leave it- But the moment I started shaving, I found that when it grew back it had grown a bit more hairier than it was before- So now I have to shave for my own well-being, although I curse ever having been near a razor, I used to be perfectly fine and smooth from birth and should have staid that way...
Capitalist bodyguilt commercials and misogynistic beauty ideals are to blame!

I do make more work for myself don't I?

But it's what I'm comfortable with and it doesn't hurt anyone else. :)

Mind you, if I didn't shave my legs I might have time to put make up on in the mornings. :D

neither put me off in a women tbh:)
I don't worry about what Pig thinks, even if he liked a hairy bush I would still get it waxed.
It's personal choice, I work out 4 times a week and would find it uncomfortable if I had a hairy, sweaty bush. Yuck!

Okay

So what drives your choice? And why do you think a hairy sweaty bush is yuck?
