Er...back on the gangs/cops thing - the Hackney police have been flying their chopper incessantly the last three days. It's only just gone to bed or for some refuelling now. What's all that about - constantly circling buzzing everyone? It didn't have its searchlight on, so it's not actively chasing someone/car.
It's got to be more to do with budgets than incidends, 'cos about three or four years ago they put it in the sky every night for more than a year virtually....then at least three years of nada.

ps - was much pleased to see six pigs on bikes, however, down London Fields tonight. It's like when they're on horses - much more of a community policing vibe.

there was loads of community support officers wandering about our ends today blud, you could harldy move for focaccio-drizzled-fuck-wits.... but more wierdly, my other half reports coppers doing wheelies on their mountain bikes between hoxton square and pitfield street, just to show off.... 
Absolutely no idea - I've never known it be constantly in one place for more than a few hours. It can be used for surveillance sometimes but it does that from a long distance and you can't hear it (at least where the surveillance is) but even that wouldn't explain three days.HackneyE9 said:
