Oh fuck off and die you paranoid twat.

When I'm posting about what it's like trying to manage an armed surveillance operation then I fucking DO know better than you ... unless, of course, you've fucking run some. Most people are smart enough to listen to those who have experience they haven't and, where appropriate, learn from it.

Find me ANY sort of post where I put that I know better than anyone else about something not directly connected with my personal experience. You won't find one because I don't - I only post opinions which are just as valid as anyone elses, even deluded fools like you.

what was the big powwow about guns and gang and ting the other night blud?
Makes note to always pay attention to what GarfieldLeChat posts about life on the street, because this proves he must know what he's talking about ... not.

Are you Iain Duncan-Smith in disguise ...?

Er...back on the gangs/cops thing - the Hackney police have been flying their chopper incessantly the last three days. It's only just gone to bed or for some refuelling now. What's all that about - constantly circling buzzing everyone? It didn't have its searchlight on, so it's not actively chasing someone/car.

It's got to be more to do with budgets than incidends, 'cos about three or four years ago they put it in the sky every night for more than a year virtually....then at least three years of nada.

Detective-boy?

ps - was much pleased to see six pigs on bikes, however, down London Fields tonight. It's like when they're on horses - much more of a community policing vibe.

there was loads of community support officers wandering about our ends today blud, you could harldy move for focaccio-drizzled-fuck-wits.... but more wierdly, my other half reports coppers doing wheelies on their mountain bikes between hoxton square and pitfield street, just to show off....  :D

I literally can't tell the difference between community support officers and parking wardens - it's the same outfit, innit?

police helicopters have lowlight camera's these days so don't need to turn there
searchlights on
actually think there thermal imagers so no point hiding in a bush there find you

Absolutely no idea - I've never known it be constantly in one place for more than a few hours. It can be used for surveillance sometimes but it does that from a long distance and you can't hear it (at least where the surveillance is) but even that wouldn't explain three days.

The police have both PCSOs and their old traffic wardens who all wear the same uniform except for the badges (and I think the traffic wardens have kept the yellow and blue check hatband). The Met traffic PCSOs are responsible for red routes and a few other more serious parking bits and pieces.

But the police CSOs and the council parking wardens should be quite distinctly different.
