Hackney/Waltham Forest/Newham/Tower Hamlets

My mate has a room going in her warehouse at Tottenham Hale... but then I noticed you have a dog and you want a place of your own. My friends warehouse is shared by ten people, three cats, two grand pianos and two upright pianos....A bit busy for you I guess....

you ued it in the summer i have sweated less at a suna in hell...
we used to try and use it frequently. i think we gave up one evening when we waited for it to transport us magically into clapton for a friends bbq. when we'd waited for 45 minutes and drunk most of our beers, we staggered off and took a cab and have only used it by accident since.

i swear i couldmake a killing by buying a mini buss with repalcement bus service on it and only taking cash payments and runnign on that route... :D

I thought there was only one hackney village - stokie

although i have noticed a rebranding of the haggerston area - "the queensbridge quarter" :(

Hackney "village" is the roundabout north of Vicky Park. At least according to one twattish estate agent told me so back in 1998.

right - where that wine bar place, "frocks" is, plus a few more designer eateries

When I lived there in '98, there was a Post Office, bakers, second hand clothes shop and other useful bits and bobs - now it's wanky boutiques. I f**ck*ng hate yuppiefication. It's the same on Broadway Market.

is the bakers still there? that bagel place you can get lush cheap bagels from and eat in the park? i was there in 98 too - ah the halcyon days of doing fuck all in victoria park for days on end *sighs*

The bagel place is still there. The bakers' by the roundabout is long gone...:(

We probably did fuck all in Vicky Park simultaneously! :)

some rubbish buses though - 393 and 106 come to mind - you have to wait ages for them:mad:

but 253/4 is pretty good, 149 as well, and 38, 73, 67, 76, 243, 48 are pretty reliable too :)

Night route N106 bus route has recently been scrapped. Some bus stops have TFL notices saying this. Other stops still have the N106 timetables!

not that bothered about the night bus 106, can always use the 253/4 - it's the day bus that's the problem

You might be bothered if you live in the area between Finsbury Park tube and Upper Clapton Road that the 106 night bus went through but the 253/4 dosent.

what's happened to street cleaning since the elections BarryB? we live in Clissold ward and its been a fucking pig sty here since May tbf.

Dont know. Will pass your concern on. But can you tell me if the problem is to do with specific streets or is it the whole ward?

the 106 bus is useful when it's operating, quicker at night from finsbury park to clapton, thanm the 253, but the routes are the same from whitechapel to clapton, the 106 peels off at northwold road and covers very little of clapton that the 253 doesn't, i guess up to the common, that's all

or 'wankers anonymous' as i've heard it called....

thats my mannor you're talking about:mad:

and I've lived here 15 years so I've seen it through lots of changes
and bought my council flat which all the chi chi little shops keep inflated in price so its not too

Zennie - I'm to lazy to read 7 pages - I've got mates moving out of a great two bed or one bed three living spaces and a kitchen garden flat in lower clapton - they're looking to rent it out initially for a year from august
pm if you're interested - I don't know what they're charging

It's 'Manor' sweetheart. And i have known nuff people from that area to know that customers of said tea-shop and myself will probably have irreconcilable opinions on certain basic issues tbf.
