Second best soca song of the day featured a man repeatedly barking "I wanna big girl / I want a roly poly" whilst lots of fit dancers danced fitly wearing the merest hint of purple sequins.

I didn't see much of Solution, cos the people I was with were more into the floats. But did wander past while they played "Revolution" by Dennis Brown, which sounded great.

ska invita and I were looking out for you Fozzie Bear ...I am just home. We spent all of out time at solution and it was wicked. I give the afternoon/evening 9/10 Great time with urban friends, non urban friends and family!

Ridley market will be the final frontier/battle ground in Dalston against trojan gentrification. Today felt very poignant because of that... Manning the barricades comes to mind every time I pass that part of Dalston now....HATE IT!

Anyway...Wonderful afternoon/evening on every level.

I was the lone reggae nut in a group of parents and kids, so we kept moving. Was a great afternoon though and I reckon our paths will cross soon.

yeah i thought it was really special - proper community affair (apart from a few interloping south londoners ) - a beautiful sight
some serious microphone action went down too...big up the flag seller man, who ever he was! funniest moment was seeing the whole gazebo start wobbling as too many potential mcs started getting drawn towards it
