here's a good one from where donnie yen takes on samo.
there's some groundfighting in there too!!

I'm thinking the greatest fight scene ought to be something that looks like it was a more of a contest, if you know what I mean?
Well then it has to be for me.

Oh that's good.

Samo seems to have gotten bigger with age, and you definitely don't want him landing on you like that. Old boy can still go some though can't he?

Couldn't find a decent clip of it, but another favourite silly Chan moment is the bit in the Young Master, where's he's getting the shit kicked out of him by the Crane style master, until he inadvertently drinks his second's bong-water and goes into this sort of Bruce Lee on PCP type of routine and defeats him.

i don't remember that.
vintage jackie chan rocks!!
but i always preferred samo for some reason...and yeah for a fat guy he moves like a cat!!

the street fighter 2 from city hunter still sticks in me head.

you guys seen fist of legend? (remake of fist of fury).
here's the fight (more japanese bashing i'm afraid).

You know Jackie Chan was in the original Fist of Fury? He was the guy who got thrown through the wooden panel in the build up to the big fight scene.

I was thinking some more about this. Dunno if anyone here has seen it and I don't think we'll find it on YouTube, but a terrible Lynda La Plante series of the 80's called 'Civvies' had a fight scene featuring Terry O'Neill (7th Dan Shotokan, World Champion and feared Merseyside bouncer in his day) which was rather impressive (if a bit implausible in that some wimpy actor beat him in the end, although he did use a shovel.)

i heard about that.
the final scene where bruce fly-kicks the japanese guy?
i thought it was a myth.

fist of fury is defo my fav lee film.
he's was so friggin' angry!!

Yep, "Fist of Fury" is probably my fave Lee film too. He just looks like he's going to explode at any moment during the final reel.

I was just poking about on YouTube trying to find the climax fight from 'King Boxer' which I saw in a double-bill with 'Fist of Fury' sometime circa 1973.

Actually, the one I've most enjoyed lately was this real fight (ie not a movie fight). Some sort of Turkish road rage incident posted by Steve Morris on a martial arts board I frequent. It's an excellent demonstration of how one guy can fight (an admittedly unskilled) mob if he can hit and move properly.

I've seen that turkish fight before - gwan my son!

I like this one for real fights (happy slapper pwnage):

Fictionally it's Final Scene in Drunken Master 2 for me (or any scene from Ong Bak):
