I had mates in Edinburgh who were called 'Smear Test'. they tried to sound like DNA/Teenage Jesus etc but basically they just weren't very good. though they were indisputably the first band i ever knew who did that uber-wanky Primal Scream missing out the vowels thang and were thus always billed as SMR TST which is pretty cool.

They did it really badly. It wasn't anarchic noise chaos, it was second rate breakcore / industrial done much better by other artists without the teenage tantrums..

The teenage temper tantrums are part of what made them fun for me

Ultraviolence are not bad, but not really the same thing.

I'd put ATR closer to RageAgainstTheMachine and AsianDubFoundation than them. angry teenagers (and they mean it!)
