Any chance of describing it and offering your opiniion to those of us who don't have time to watch videos...?

its as Shippou-Chan said, muti touch screen , the examples given were, the ability to draw with two hands, zooming in one piece, while another is not, using nasa's earth program and moving around in 3d, putting digital images in diffent places to create a mosiac , or completing a puzzle.

For artists its a great idea, for a programmer its pointless.

A touch sensitive screen...? Gosh, that is new...! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Newton

There really should be more uses made of touch screens. I aquired one and it very quickly became my main monitor and input device as it's just so intuitive to use. I find myself stabbing the monitors at work now cos I'm so used to it.

A multitouch screen should be very easy to make, it just needs some programming changes to accept multiple inputs. I think the best use for something like this would be for a coffee table monitor, that has multimedia functions, show pics, video etc.

I'm planning on making my touch screen into the main interface for my media centre, the aim is to make something that can play anything, and make it so easy to use I don't need to show anyone how to use it.

I think I can achieve that, but probably wouldn't with a more traditional input device.

Touch screens rock!!!

Years ago I introduced a sculptor to the Web for the first time - and moments later she was prodding the kettle with her finger expecting it to open a new window with more information :D
