I'm curious as to what people's thoughts are on this? The market is truly bonkers at the moment, with supply shortages & mining. I built a new PC at the end of last year and started gaming again, but I've not bought a GPU as I refused to pay over double RRP (and beyond). I've been really, really impressed with GeForce Now 3080, playing cyberpunk at 1440p with ray tracing has certainly been quite an experience. I think streaming game services are going to be an increasingly big part of the gaming market, there's no reason the apps couldn't even be installed on smart TVs. However the full range of games on Steam are not available as many publishers have pulled out, although I know there are more expensive options like Shadow. Specs are slightly lower then GFN and it's twice the price (£90 vs £180 for 6 months).

Do you think they will drop? I believe Ethereum is moving to proof of stake later this year, so I keep reading that this will drive them down. I'm not sure why there won't be another crypto though that people can mine on GPUs so the whole cycle can continue. I think that supply will increase, but the last I read said 10% which doesn't seem enough. If they don't drop then what will it do to PC gaming? I can't be the only one who just doesn't play enough to justify such high end prices. I went PS4 last generation as it was a lot cheaper then full new PC I needed at the time, but I ended up missing mouse and keyboard and basically avoided first persons because of this. That said I know there are still supply problems with the new consoles, but wonder if they will get sorted long before GPU prices drop?
