Good upcoming PC games?

i really enjoyed ep 1 , its starts at the exact point where hl2 ends , its great fun if a bit samey for the first couple of hours , yet to taste the delights of EP2 , i had it but it was in german so didnt bother :)

That reassuring, turned it off in a huff last night on that bit, but as I bought the orange box and it was hightly reccomended I thought I should persevere with it for a bit.

RE HL2: I'm using fake factory cinematic mod 4.0, improves the game and graphics no end.

bit disappointed by Crysis and Bioshock has mouse acceleration problems, back to Gothic 3, Fear, Faces Of War, etc.

The Witcher is utterly appalling, avoid.

Played it up until I've killed that big praying mantis and so far it seems ok... not as anal as most fantasy rpgs.

Sadly, what I've been most captivated by is replaying Hidden and Dangerous 2. Looks ok, considering it's what, 4 years old? Still an amazing game. Can't think of anything that's bettered it in recent years for tactical shooters.

Any of the Ghost Recon games any good?

Another HD2 fan here, none of the Ghost Recon games come anywhere close to that.. I take it you know there was an expansion to HD2?

Having just bought Gears of War for PC I am pleasantly surprised.

Still love The Witcher... never got into a Western RPG before, thought Oblivion was dull as fuck, but this is great

Very misogynistic though, you get a bonus card every time you get laid :D

Far Cry does indeed look sweet.... but again, still hooked on The Witcher. Going into my favourite games of all time category. A WRPG with a decent story?! Never!

How much would you recommend the witcher? I really enjoyed playing NWN2 and I know it's the same engine but I saw a review that put me off

Haha, yeah, seen that. Between that and someone on here saying it was shit, it came bottom of my list of games to try. Shame, because a) most reviews recognise it as being great and b) I wasted a lot of time on other games.

It's not without it's faults, but for me it's superior to Oblivion or any of the other offline RPGs trying to recreate MMORPGs.

MWN2 annoyed the fuck out of me from the off due to it's appalling camera.

To give a quick summary:

Bit cheesy in places, but mostly well acted and scripted. Great story, decent fighting, not too anal. Lots and lots of fun, very engaging.

Has anyone mentioned Spore yet?
I well out of the gaming loop these days but will be getting my hands on a copy when its released. looks damn fine.

I actually just downloaded Halo (I know very old and all that) and am enjoying playing games online.
