These are mostly awfully cheesy, but e.g. the sample from Shogun Assassin at the beginning of GZA's Liquid Swords is perfect... and the spoken word bit at the beginning of this is AWESOME (does anyone know where it's from?)

    Any other good examples?

    Patrick Allen in Two Tribes?

I remember hearing all the remixes when I was a young child in the 80s, I couldn't have been more than 4 or 5 years old, but still remember lines like "If your grandmother or any other member of your family should die whilst in the shelter, put them outside, but remember to tag them first for identification purposes"

and even more WTF... "Mine is the last voice you will ever hear. Do not be alarmed"

Just found this...not samples, by the looks of things, but house music mix with spoken word vocals.

do you know of this deep house tune, played by Smokescreen/DIY etc, probably early 2000s, with an american woman voice talking about the old house parties and she says something about dancing all night long "because it was a marathon", and about laying down on the floor to sleep, then "DJ plays my favourite song, jump back up on my feet".... and then she does the old "I feeeel the music, I throw my hands in the air"?

again it could be quite a number of house tunes i guess, but I heard this one on a smokescreen mix and can't remember the name, it is a good tune

Does an audio sample from a film count? Charlie Chaplin as the Great Dictator sampled by Paolo Nuttini.

I've heard it dropped in a Liza n Elize gabber mix, I've been skipping through some ones on YT to see if I can find it, but not yet.

I think it worked well and was chuffed to hear Hawkwind outsie of their normal context

No, I don't think I recognise that one, but I'm also trying to rememeber the name of a tune that DiY Emma used to play a bit.

The spoken word bit was...."I had sex with him for about a year and a half"
