I'm going to be teaching creative media this year and we will be doing some video editing. The computers in the classroom will have the adobe suite on them but I would like to give them options they could run at home also as I'm doing level 1 introductory stuff premire is a little complicated. I used to just use windows movie maker as the introduction as it handled clips preview and timeline just fine. Unfortunately I won't be able to get that onto a machine at work as it's no longer officially supported. has anyone got some ideas for this? all I want to be able to do is some simple editing of phone shot video.
I've used Openshot in the past and found it pretty good. OpenShot Video Editor | Free, Open, and Award-Winning Video Editor for Linux, Mac, and Windows!
Found this great to use. Managed to quickly do a bit of (terrible) chroma key with my puke green bedroom walls. Hopefully will give it a wirll with the students later this week.
