Luke describes it as a betrayal of the British electorate and Labour Party members as great as that of Ramsay MacDonald in 1931.
Maybe you knew these things, but I didn't. We should all read widely, to broaden our knowledge and test our assumptions. It is easy to read stuff you agree with and that flatters what you think of as your sound taste and judgement. It is harder to read things and engage with people you disagree with, but it helps you test your thinking and thus think better. And it helps you realise that sometimes you are wrong.
