Good dentist needed, NHS if possible.

i blame the chucklehead - it must be very corrosive.

:D

I think if nobody's going to give you an emergency appointment, then you could try King's first thing in the morning.

Oh, there is a place my b/f went to have a tooth out recently, but I'm buggered if I can remember the name of the place :o

I'm sure I asked for directions on here

There's a honey alternative to clove oil, I got some when my tooth cracked and I was out of the country and well away from dentists. Might be available here - was some sort of Propolis / honey concoction, that not only tasted good (which might have been the alcohol it was suspended in), but worked better than clove oil, which makes me weep.

I've got some of that. Got it in Serbia. I thought it tasted rank though.

And, OU I didn't ask when their next appt was I asked if you explained that you were in agony and if they had an emergency appointment. I'd have thought they'd at least have given you Guy's details if you'd said that.

I had anadin and ibuprofen with codeine and just slept for as much time I could. The pain came in waves of its own volition. Turns out my jaw was inflammed and stuff, so make sure you take ibuprofen if its your root.

Incidentally, bit of my filling broke off last week, going back to Half Moon to get it sorted. No idea if this is indicative of shoddy work. I was eating fish and ships, nothing hard.

i'll avoid the hospital for the time being - don't want to pick up something nasty.
if it gets worse, i'll call the dentist again

Pick up something nasty like what?

You're more likely to pick up something nasty on public transport getting to your appointment

Orang

Try ringing these people.

My b/f went there but he was referred by his dentist but I'm not sure if they take anyone on without referrals

just bumping for feedback on blue care.... they were very very very nice indeed. pretty much on time with my appointment, no problem with me being severely nervous, and not at all lecturey about the state of me teeth (thank goodness).
going back in a fortnight for fillings :o

I'd reiterate how brill they are. I went for the first time (in 10 years :o) to the dentist there this week and they were lovely. Didn't bollock me (my Mum did :D) and told me my teeth were fine and I just needed to go back in 6 months. Also got an NHS appointment within 3 days of phoning and registering.

One I've not seen on here and can happily recommend are Clapham South Dental Practice. They are constantly open for NHS patients, right outside a Zone 2 station, and never upsell. It seems like they only have NHS treatment, as the time I went in there with a dental insurance claim form they were very confused and it took them 15 minutes to work out what went where.

Dr Glavas is very good, and a rather attractive Swede, which eases the pain substantially.
