Good cocktail bars - Central London

The only problem is they are all frickin expensive (at least in town). Unless you are minted you can't stay in one for any real length of time. In fact even if you are it might be problematic. They really do have to be stop off points before going somewhere else.

True, but imo cocktails are for sipping one or two before or after dinner rather than being a session drink (and I'm too much of a lightweight these days to do otherwise).

More due to economic necessity than anything else. I'm sure I remember a time when you could go out and drink cocktails all evening and not spend a hundred quid.

You probably could at Kaff (£9 for 3) but you'd be on the loo all night - not strong enough ime.
 
Not in the West End but there is an excellent little cocktail bar in Stoke Newington called White Rabbit, it is on Church Street. Happy hour every night 5-9 :thumbs:
