Goldfrapp..

I have three Goldfrapp cd's. The first (I assume the one Hollis thought a little dull on first listening) is by far the better of the three. Actually I think it is marvelous. Felt Mountain. Lovely Head is absolutely beautiful and quite unique. The other cd's have some good pop tunes on, and some dull tracks too.

I like 'em. I was disappointed that the promise of Felt Mountain was not lived up to. But I like 'em. The recent glam-disco singles were fairly cool.

Most of the criticism of them here seems to be that they are not what they are not. They are not cutting edge, edgy, punk, especially innovative, rocking the foundations of performance as we know it etc. But they a\re far from mediocre either.

I like Moloko too.:p

Peaches bores me. Chicks On Speed are far better.

Me too.

Has to be said, I do fancy Roisin far, far more than I fancy Alison...

Yeah of course. It's funny the first time round, but after that you realise you're listening to two washed up angry bitches with nothing new to say, in that same old answerback hiphop style that's been going on since 1984, reminds me of that old Sparky. D vs The Playgirls track, only with less inventive beats, and that was recorded over 20 years ago...!

Fuck, I feel old all of a sudden...

Did she pull an Aaliyah?

By that do you mean "did she allegedly blow a hissy fit when the booze/cocaine-addled pilot of her hired Cessna jet refused to take extra late arriving passengers and luggage, because the aircraft had already been loaded to capacity and the weight distributed evenly in the cargo hold, and did she subsequently threaten the pilot's job prospects and (if you believe the rumours) his life, unless he took all her luggage and friends with her, even after being told clearly that most of the luggage and at least 3 people could not be taken aboard for safety reasons, then did she die in a ball of fire in marshland within the Bahamas en route to Miami as the jet aircraft hit the ground just after leaving the runway after being unable to stabilise once up in the air" ?

If so, no, Princess Superstar is still alive and not making unreasonable and dangerous demands on the unqualified aeronatical staff hired by dodgy record companies to carry her safely across the skies.

If she knows what's good for her, that is...
