a clicker, it goes click. You say sit, dog sits, you click and reward. Repeat this a gazillion times and the dog knows that sit means sit. You can pretty much teach them anything with a reward based system like that.

That's a clicker, they come in various little designs. It's just a strip of metal, when when you press, it clicks.

Yeh them clickers are great..I taught the little bloke to sit..laydown and shake with that...now why did i think it would'nt work with the barking and chewing ...

clicker is good (and its never too soon to start clicker training) however at this stage I would just read "the perfect puppy" by gwen baily

odds are they will grow out of it but there are various things you can do to prevent it.
