When I got my two 18 years ago the first place they went was behind the tumble dryer. Unfortunately that was next to the bathroom which (unbeknownst to us until this point) had a hole in the wall next to where the td was. Hours later we got the cat out
She looks lovely Griff, hope Mr Sax takes to her. Give it time, cuddle both of them lots, especially Mr S, don't let him think he's being pushed out.
Mr Sax is ADORABLE! So's the kitten. I have got an elderly-ish tom & young female kitten - it has been a bit fraught but just in the last week he has come round a bit. Don't be surprised if he takes it out on you - mine did! The kitten has been fine with him all along.
I think they have bonded by being thrown together in the adversity of a) my niece & nephew staying & b) all the Halllow'een/pre-Bonfire night fireworks.
Well it's been just under a week now, and Mr.Sax has calmed down now and sees that she's only a wee baby. They can sit within a few feet of each other now with no hissing fits or anything.
She's managed to get out twice already. Sneaked out of the front door and sat on the grass at the front then got out of the cat-flap when we weren't looking. It seems she's well used to being outside and once her stitches are out on Thursday, she'll be able to enjoy the garden.
Considering she was abandoned, her temperament is adorable, following us around the house and investigating everthing she finds. It's funny seeing her run in that 'kitten way'.
