my friend nicki has two tickets - first PM gets them, but have to be sold as a pair and be collected in West End about 7pm-ish (they're going to see the Buzzcocks and the Slits instead at 7.30pm)

Nooooooooo.. have just found someone!

Oh well, next time.

oh shit, i'm sorry rich. i reckon you'd be able to get some there, you know. there's always touts, and if tickets are only a tenner i reckon they'd be 15 tops outside

Probably too late but Ive a spare ticket, my mates flight from helsinki was delayed and cant make it anymore

Its 7 now, im leaving at 7:30 so youve got 30 min to pm me or im going to flog it outside.

EDIT: fuck it, im off now, the sooner I get there the more likely I am to get shot of it  :(

sorry if you wanted it

Just got back, bit skint so couldn't stay out, grrr. Ended up getting ticket off mate of workmate at the very, very last minute (was about to brave the touts). Hope you got rid of ticket Macabre.

Gig was totally bonkers, great fun. Had massive grin all the way through - like this! --> :D

Some ace dubby basslines here and there, would've liked to of heard more of that.

they were fucking fantastic. even the arsey security couldn't thwart them.

i can die now knowing i've seen a man with an implausible moustache being borne across a crowd on a large drum

Couldnt find anyone out side so I had to flog it to a tout  :( Really didnt want to do that because I hate the bastards. Bloody undependable bitch mate.

I just decided to the only way I could get through a gig on my own was to neck 5 bottles of cider and go into the pit. So thats what I did. Came out drenched in my sweat, other peoples sweat and beer. Managed to touch the drum when the singer was surfing it, it was hilariously disturbing the way the crowd stripped him and his trousers where almost off for the rest of the gig.

Anyone else think at one point he looked like a skinny Hulk Hogan?

Fucking Hell how mental was that!!! :D

I thought my moshing days were well and truly over but that was just the most bonkers night of raw no-nosense jumpabout fun I've had in years.

Nice to see a couple of familiar faces at the end too even if I was completely saturated & a bit stumbly by then. :)

The party we were at was greater than great ;) , but I'm still ultra jealous of the lucky gig people :( , that sounds like just my type of band and night ...

Will they be back at some stage? Hope so!

That fucking ruled.

I was near the front dancing away like a loon. My poor girlfriend came out of it with lots of bruises (when you're a metalhead in your teens you can take crowds like that unscathed). Wasn't enough to ruin the pure pleasure and enjoyment of the best gig in a long time.

First band were shite. The 2nd band with the rasta lead singer (Skid something?) were cool.

Good to have bumped into Dub and Pieface also.

I might be going to Eugene's solo gig tomorrow at Pacific Bar in Kenngton. :D

Yeah that was fucking fantastic, the best gig I've ever been to :) Wow. Again! Again!

it's not a gig, mind, it's a DJ set - there are a couple of bands on, and dancer. and the bar's called South London Pacific. MIGHT go, but feel fucking awful after two nights of nonsense

I didn't get to see them but were the Fighting Cocks supporting and if so were they any good?

I saw them with MJ Hibbett (odd combination I know) at the Push Bar a few weeks ago and thought they were great.

They were good. I think they played something like 9 gigs in 10 days. I was expecting something along the lines of Balkan gypsy music, but this sounded different. They didn't have any brass instruments. The fiddle was great.

Completely - best gig I've ever had :D

Ended it in a massive group bounce with my arms round people spinning in circles making up the words at the top of my lungs - they were fucking excellent! :)

And they work so damn HARD - I love a band that's doing it as hard as the crowd. Dancers/percussionist chucked her drum into the crowd and was trying to get on top of it (and would have had it not been for the fucking security) - eventually Eugene managed. That was a good sight :D

They were euphoric :) :)

in fact, in the Tottenham from 7pm if anyone's around. although we're going to go in early, i want to see Fighting Cocks.

The FCs are live at the Push Bar, 3rd May I think, well worth checking out. Not least because the Push Bar is the tiniest venue in the WORLD.

FINALLY! Went to the Gogol Bordello gig on Saturday and it was easily the best one I've seen in the four years I've been in Chicago (Ojos de Brujo knocked back to second place now). So another vote for them. Hurrah!

Does anyone know if Gogol Bordello will be back for any summer festies??

There was a rumour that they would be doing Reading/Leeds

If that is indeed the case we can but hope they come over a week earlier & play Beautiful Days as well.
