This lot are getting rave reviews in the World Music scene. Their Gypsy Punks album is an absolute killer. Website Here. They're playing at The Mean Fiddler on Friday 10th March. Tickets only a tenner. Anybody up for a jumpabout? :D

reputedly the best band in the world... i intend on catching 'em when they're up north again.

<edit - march the 11th. i'm there!>

I saw them last year in Bristol and the best gig I have been to in my entire life :) GO!!!!!
this seems to be the standard response to a gogol bordello gig. manchester here i come!

*bump*

gutted cant make the 10/3 gig....

emailed them to ask for more dates ;)

Anyone sorted tickets then?

Bollocks, this is definitely Friday 10th March right? (someone thought it was the 11th above)

<edit : just checked website, yes, sadly it is Friday 10th :( >

We can't make it -- party commitment :( :(

Lets hope they come back to the UK for some festivals in the summer .... they sound just up my street!!

I've heard these mentioned quite a few times recently - they sound interesting, but i haven't managed to hear any of their tunes...

Are they at all similar to Mano Negra?

not really - for my money, Mano Negra broke down into sluggish ska punk far too often. THis is much more 'gipsy' flavoured.

Hope they have the proper dancers with 'em this time...slighlty disappointed they didn't birng them to the UK shows a few months ago.

Eugene Hutz is certifiable, but in a highly entertaining way - just love the fact Gogol Bordello do their own thing :)

they re playing the garage in Glasgow as part of their tour.

really looking foward to seeing em, been listening them for a while now.

personal favourite song is "not a crime" off of "underdog world".

dont know anything about their live shows, but the singer looks like as though he's a right character! soooperb.

So how many people will be making the London gig then?

I just bought their latest album Underdogs World Strike and dancing along like a looney to every track. Gypsy Punks rule. Me and girlfriend are already really looking forward to the gig now. Have been hearing nothing but good things from friends who are all into different types of music who've had the chance to see them live already.

OH YEAH OH NO!

Love to see the Sun do a review on em.

Was well impressed a few weeks ago, random-ass town i live in, Gypsy Punks sticker on a bin. I thought- wow, Ossett does have smart people in it.

me and Pie Face are there.

in fact, in the Tottenham from 7pm if anyone's around. although we're going to go in early, i want to see Fighting Cocks.

be warned, liable early finish tonight because it'll be G.A.Y. or something after.
