they were definitely a best festival band ever at Sziget.. with the longest, loudest, fastest and most furious encore i've ever seen..

Amen to that! :)

yippee

i booked 3 tickets today!....one for me, one for top cat and one for my son who is a big fan! :) see you there!

Woo hoo!!! just got tix, it's going to be a great gig!!! :) They were one of the best bands at Reading and for me the best act. I want to crowd surf on a drum!!

I was meant to be seeing them tonight in Ljubljana but it's been cancelled because the drummer's in hospital in Paris. Nothing too serious I hope.

Party-poopery here too, I'm with fishfingerer on this one. They're bargepole time for me.

Saw them on telly Saturday night from Leeds or Reading and my back was got up within seconds. Like les Têtes Raides, Mano Negra, the Négresses Vertes or that gypsy jazz that's all the go here in Frankrijk, I find my head done in within seconds.

Ah well, I'm just lonely and bilious, I suppose. :(

I saw them televised at Leeds/Reading on both Saturday & Sunday... to be fair they didn't come across as overly impressive. I guess you just have to be there! ;)

I've just been on their website and am organising now

Now, if you are trying to organise a night out for yourself and friends, do you wait for people to get back to you and then get tickets, or go ahead and buy six, or just get one for me and one for her?

Two tickets are affordable, but six, and then yer mates bale, causes rucks
(I remember selling three David Holmes tickets for six bottles of Grolsch, in the Jazz Cafe, so it was a steal)

How do you do it?

:)

I would wait for them to get back to you, definitely. and when they do, say 'do you want me to book your tckets in with mine, you can pay me next week if you like.' then when they bail later you already have the cash.

Another Gogol convert here.

They are an absolutely amazing live band and they were the best band for me at my last 2 festivals.

I saw them at Sziget and they had us all going absolutely bananas, like LDR I just missed out on hopping over the barriers for the stage invasion climax. I didn't think they could elicit the same response from the Reading crowd, but it was the gig with the best atmosphere all weekend. Something about seeing them live just sends everyone loopy.:D

I'm gutted I can't get to Brixton to see them, but I'm off for an autumnal weekend in Brighton to see the Flaming Lips, so it's not all bad:cool:

bump

as it's soon(ish), and i've decided I may well go after seeing them rock the main stage at bestival :) (if I can convince my mate it's what he should do for his birthday early on  )
