My twlve year old daughter bought me the Kurt boigraphy for my birthday last year....((((((awwwwwwww))))))...learnt lots about him and Nirvana...interesting stuff...always had admiration for Grohl picking up and carrying on<<<skillz! 
BUT now I can't listen to a Nirvana's songs without knowing about Kurt's sexual proclivities and perverted obsessions and it smells

- foo fighters
- whatever other substandard power-pop (wonder if thats how sub-pop got their name?) shit you are listening to
can continue to out themselves here it would be great for my future reference.
the only one i will allow is soundgarden, while not IMO as good as Nirvana i can perhaps see some point to them at one point - the rest are just truly terrible... I'm not a huge nirvana fan but they are waaaaaaayyyy better than half of the bands mentioned on this thread.
