Goat's milk- What's the point?

I think if you had full goats milk rather than semi skimmed you'd notice the taste difference.

Indeed. I don't think I've ever tasted any goats milk that didn't taste overwhelmingly of goat. Absolutely foul stuff IMO!

That's old age - your bones start to go after 30....:(

30??? They start to go before that!! I remember a specialist telling me you should get 24/5 good yrs out of your back before it starts to go downhill.

I also remember wiskey being miffed she didn't even get that!! :(

It is SO nice to see others not liking the teh thing :D

I can't stand the "teh" thing either :)

Getting back on topic, I'm not sure about this "goats milk tastes too goaty for me" - I have no idea what goat tastes like, not in the habit of looking for them and giving them a good suck (ooer!)

Very well put!!

I reckon fair enugh if you can't tolerate cow's milk in your insides, but at twice the cost you'd have to be pretty well off to chose to buy it.

It does seem expensive, but that's because evil supermarkets use their massive buying power to push down the price of milk.

I always used to think I couldn't digest coffee.. used to drink it, even though I had so much trouble with it.. then I switched to goats milk, and realised it was sodding cows milk I couldn't digest, not lovely coffee!

It's silly internet geek spelling (comes from people constantly misspelling 'the'), lots of people use it on urban, some of us lowly pathetic types find slightly amusing :)

some jokes get a bit old, though, after the 10,000,000th repetition....or perhaps that's when using it becomes ironic "hey this was funny months ago but look, I'm still doing it to annoy the po-faced" ;) :p

Our lass purchased some semi skimmed Goat's milk the other day by mistake. Cos it's all the same coloured label & that. I have been having it in me tea, so far so good, and today I had it on my cereal.

It seems to be exactly the same as cow's milk.

So what exactly is the point of it?

Apparently goats milk is easier to digest as the protein molecule in the milk is much smaller, and also a goat is more like us humans then a cow in that it has only 1 stomach. This may be the reason some people including my self have a problem with too much cow produce, for me It gives me eczma, but goats stuff doesent. Its great actualy cos now one can get goats butter, cheese, yougurt.:D
