I had last fu days gmail slow to load on phone or runs out of time with not response

Wasn't it established on another thread that the problem is with the gmail push service only, hence only a problem on some phones.

Except I was getting no email to my desktop earlier.

It's supposed to be back up and was fine at home, but not at work ... ditto Blogger

I had problems using it this morning.

I discovered this was due to some MS update or other (that I hadn't installed) glitching the POP3 set up. Don't really understand why it happened, but once I'd gone into gmail to re-enable the POP3 settings & installed the whatever-it-was that updated Outlook - it worked fine again.

I found it was my choice of proxy in combination with my employer's firewall that I'd changed in the meantime.
