Geraldine is a formula track in the worst sense of the term. The whole album is awash with cliché pseudo-epic reverb thanks to Rich Costey's production which does nothing but hide the fact that nearly every song is distinctly average.
The new album is much the same, only now it's produced by Flood who has toned down the epiiiiiic reverb and seems to be trying to make them sound more like the Killers (who incidentally he's also produced). I mean has anyone actually listened to the single 'Euphoria, Take My Hand' - it's like someone said "ok guys we need to create a chart friendly tack which loosely follows the pattern of 'All These Things That I've Done' but we'll change the chords around so it's less obvious. Oh, and you up front, yeah we need to get you a flexi disco rope light to replace your mic cable with. That'd be coooool for your image"
Utter toss.
