They're fucking stalking me now - interview on teletext, and that song playing in a shop today
and they're recording a bloody Christmas album
gonna hate them by the time the real album comes out

If i get home and listen to it and find out that you're right and you spoil it for me for ever, i'm going to have you hunted and killed.

well i dunno - i used to love that song, when i were a lad at school.

am now listening to it on youtube.

does anyone else get the same vibe? :hmm:

And the vocalization and beats and use of tambourines is totally Phil Spector.

Not bad though. Need to hear more.

On a side note, drummers shouldn't stand. Really. They might run away.

Think of the kids...

I saw them live back in June. They were ok, but not great, in the flesh. The mates I went with preferred Thomas Tantrum, one of the support acts.

When 'Geraldine' first came out, could not get enough, loved the vocals and the accent of what's his name? it seemed to be on air all the time and I got sick of them a bit.
Daddys gone I dont think is as good, but still listen to it and I would'nt mind seeing them live.

Just got the album and I think it's better than clashtastic!

Saw them at Glasto and really liked them - can't stop listening right now - always like this with a new album - suppose I'll get bored with it - but not that soon. :D

After hearing the album, I've completely fell for them. Realy, really good, sort of a slower, less drugged JAMC, and a lot less plain than most of the me-too indie bands that popped up in the past four years.

Does anyone know if the DVD is worth the extra? I'm almost sure both will be around 4 quid on Amazon Marketplace sooner or later, but I'm really liking it, so a purchase before xmas might be in order

I like what ive heard of them and I will be going to see them in December. The lead singer used to be a proffesional footballer by the way that used to play for Queen of the South and Gretna apprently so I guess that makes him one of the coolest blokes in music!! :p

I like 'em.

But, I've always liked the Proclaimers too, way before their newfound resurgence. And Big Country too, back in the day.

And Jesse Rae, even though the big cunt owes me money.

The Scots accent sounds great in rock'n'roll, better than the Yank accent anyway, so bring it on.

Right, listening to them right now.

Quite good, but I ought to say that they sound just like one of El Jefe's most hated bands ever. Which one, I shall not say...
