Glastonbury Substitute 2006

The Big Chill? (www.bigchill.net)

Okay, so you're not going to see The Killers there but it is by far the best festival I've been to. Its all grown up and they have proper beer(Red Stripe) rather than the ming they force on you at T in the Park.

Its a bit like hanging out with your mates getting wasted in the park all weekend, but without the hasstle of the parkies chucking you out.

Oh, and I hear they fix the weather so its always sunny as well ;)

I recommend Gladefest. Its just boss like :)

I went to the Glade festie last year. I loved it, but it's all electronic dance music, so it won't be everyone's bag of pills ..... er, sorry, that should have read "cup of tea".

Giles..

I'm going to Roskilde this year *touches wood* but last time glasto was having a fallow year we went to the Healing Fields festival that was still going on without the rest of the glasto festival.

It was in some gorgeous fields just outside glastonbury town. If you can tolerate some extreme hippy antics (see gongs, bonkers ceremonies, group chanting, and dodgy looking yoga) it was the perfect place to come down after the solstice at stonehenge, sitting under an old oak tree supping warm cider and chuffing on some jamaican woodbines :)
