Glastonbury coverage on TV

Amy looks fucked/misrable :(
good version of Cupid though
she's just realised it's a guitar she's been holding:D

did Phil just mention goldfrapp having a kind of Moo Moo on?

pagan folk dancers for teh win
or is that a patchwork rooster,?
goat monsters even - currently dancing in a suspicisaly womble like fashion

Martina Toppley Bird is good - when the fuck did this happen?

omg :-) I think Stackridge are about to be on

Did anyone expect much else from AW?

My mate saw her well before all the tabloid stuff and left early because she couldn't dance and made noises instead of singing the words so I can't see much has changed really

I watched it and thought she'd be miles worse tbh

The only Glastonbury coverage I saw all weekend was Neil Diamond, which was one of the longest half hours of my life (and not in a good way). If ever I wanted to know how it would feel to choke on a pair of beige elasticated-waist slacks, that urge has been fulfilled.

Yeah, whatever happened to Doves?

They did 2 ok songs and ran out of steam I think,

Elbow, on the other hand have been consistenly good and have been around for years!

// Elbow groupie :D

p.s. this doesn't sound ANYTHING like the Doves!!! :p

Winehouse would be better if she got rid of those stupid marching on the spot dancers for starters.

Their singing was better than hers ever was and ever will be.

Without that backing band she'd have been laughed out of Somerset.

I think he was worried that if he stuck around much longer he'd end up on stage as one of Amy Winehouse's dancers.
Actually, that would have been great if he had done - then mid-set he could have told her he was leaving and exited singing 'I don't wanna dance, dance with ya baby, no more!'

Agreed - best thing so far for me that was.

She is pure talent, that woman. Plays a mean guitar too, I never knew.

You never knew she played geetar? Shame on you! :D

Saw her play the Plymouth pavilions last year - awesome!

Nope - I just assumed in my sexist arrogance she got some greasy rocker bloke to do the axework...

:o

Eddie Grant?

Most of his songs were crap, but I liked his brother, the Mexicano

he used to come roun my house

Eddie was always too full of himself, didn't see him on TV, glad really I would have had to smash the set

Whinehouse was not bad really

jayZ - better in a club I suspect....

It's been dreadful so far, as per - KT Tunstall, Fratellis, I don't get the Ting Tings so wasn't arsed by that, pressing the blue button is depressing - tomorrow we're promised James Blunt...

So thank God for the Gossip on 301 right now. Beth Ditto dancing with security and singing at full pipe is what I want to see...
:)

You could just buy a ticket. Then you can change the channel at will.

No time to catch up with this thread, but if ANYONE has, or can make, copies of Buddy Guy and Massive Attack coverage on DVD, and can post me those, I will reward you with gratitude and beer ... PM me!!

Can't do with anything that's PC-based though as my home machine is older than a Morris Minor and far slower and much less reliable ... it's about to die basically ... so an actual DVD for my actual DVD player, it would have to be, my PC can't even play them!

Both acts were on Saturday night, we were working at the time while there, and we had to miss those giants of music :( ... I'm hearing that they were both GREAT!
