There was a thing on the main website where you could enter your registration details to be entered into a ballot. If you were successful, you had the opportunity to purchase a pair of tickets. There were 50 pairs to give away for the 50th anniversary.

If you could guarantee Jet followed by Live & Let Die as opening songs I’d be there for the first 10 minutes. And then I’ll go and watch something else.Macca did a brilliant set in 2004 - opened with Jet.

Not especially, if you avoid judging city-size-of-Bath Glastonbury just by the megastage headliners

I'm going! I'm volunteering in property lock-ups.
Good crew, really friendly
Unless crew camping arrangements change, you'll be camped up next to us Info Crew (in numbers we're a much smaller lot) in Dairy Ground, near the far end of the old railway track beyond Arcadia.
So we'll inevitably meet up

And talking of crew ...
...we slightly know one or two Tipi Crew from Glastonbury town, we also have friends from there who we know better, and who hope maybe to get work in the Tipi Fields this time.
So we may well? end up occasionally hanging out up that way too
As for luxury, our friends Boris and Jo (just two people!
) stayed in a Tipi up there about 5 years ago, and yes, they reported that the experience was pretty damned luxurious -- I sneaked a peak and could tell!
Lovely saunas and showers up there also

The text is mainly by Michael and Emily Eavis, who both contribute several long chapters, but the main amazingness to me is the PICTURES!
So many that I've never seen before Plus loads of great pieces contributed by musicians and writers.
Do not miss this book! I thoroughly recommend

Yes I was given it too . i like it a lot , particularly good to go back over the line-ups over the years . Great photos too and as WoW says lots of good quotes from various people who have connections , he might act like a tosser at times but Noel Gallaghers was spot on .

I've just read this, but I think that link's versiobn of wehat the Council are instructing is (at this point) higjhly vague
I strongly suspect, and predict, that bring-in alcohol amounts won't be too much restricted**
We'll see though!

You’ve got to wonder at what point they’re going to have to make a go / no go decision on the festival happening with all the talk of Coronavirus lockdowns at the moment. Will probably have to be soon...

Yeah, there’s a feeling of inevitability about lockdowns and big events being cancelled.
Basically my whole summer is planned around big gigs and festivals this year.
Nick Cave, Glastonbury, Taylor Swift, Womad then End Of The Road. I’m holding off on booking hotels and paying balances which seems a bit pessimistic but I have a horrible feeling.
For now, I remain near-complacent that the Festival Season will happen
