Glastonbury 2009 Roll Call

Me on me own. Camping usually at top of Pennards for easy access to Green fields, though after a couple of messy nights last year at New York City Bar may op for a change. Camped above Pyramid stage in 93.

I wasn't going to be able to afford it but my gran has just given me 300 bucks so I'm gonna try and buy a ticket next weeeeeeek.

Cockmill Meadow, family camping for quite a few years now. Aside from Dragon, it's arguably the nicest field on the site. Quiet, enclosed, but quite central.

You have to be a family with children, to be camping there, just in case people think you can camp anywhere.

This is enforced by security.

As an affirmed South-sider I only discovered the Sub_Aqua Club's amazing breakfasts for the first time last year! :o

I understand that they usually make one of the biggest profits of all the catering stands.

And they deserve to! They work incredibly hard, do not charge exorbitant prices and they are really nice people. The money goes to the club and spreading the word about their 'cause' - exploring the under sea world without damaging it.:)

Probably crew camping up near the farmhouse this time. Reasons : security -- our tent got turned over last time and also Deb wants to park the car nearer the tent ...

Dude, that's like totally the wrong side.

I know, tis not ideal at all ... ...would be my first time away from the Green Fields since 1995!

But maybe a switch back to Dragon might yet happen after all, especially if we pick up a trolley before June ;) :D

apparently there's a rumour that radiohead pulled out of reading and leeds around the time that eavis suggested there might be a 4th headliner...:D *crosses fingers and toes*

bluestreak got paid so we're both in - maybe he was trying to keep people in suspense about his arrival.

huzzah glasto 2009! we'll be plus two familiar and friendly non-urban faces for anyone who knows my housemates :)

Don't think I've every heard a Portacabin described as a "lovely hut" before, but we do our best to make it nice each year!

Ooh! :D

I'm going as a punter as I've always done and this will only be my 14th Glasto.

Going with a couple of mates and camping on Miichael's Mead with a dozen or so folks from other forums.

14th... must have started early 90s at the latest then? :)

Blimey Riff I knew you were a veteran but I didn't know to that extent!

Deb's first was 1985 (mudbath! :D ) and my first was 1984 (heatwave! )

We both missed a fair few after that, but this year is my 13th and Deb's 14th.

Vintage cider called for to celebrate! :)

Good guess - 1993, actually! I nearly went in 1992, but due to slacker mates not getting their act together financially until after it sold out, I missed out! :(

William - you're On! Let me know your shifts via PM when you get them and we'll take it from there. :D
