it kinda is. The Glade doesn't exist any more (good work, Dr) but is kinda part of the new expanded dance area

That blows. The whole point of it was that it was a little secluded bit away from the comings-and-goings. What are the stages going to be then? Sounds like it'll be along the lines of:

-Corporate rock music stage A
-Corporate rock music stage B
-Total Euphoria compilation CD on loop stage
-The BAE systems token hippie music stage

I voted and then checked who else had made the same choice. The usual suspects, then! :D

Ditto! Dancing round the flags planning how we're all going to live in a big hippy house in the country :D

NME Stage??? That must be 10 years out of date by now!

It was only there in '04. Before that it was variously in Greenpeace & Cabaret but I didn't see it in '05 & reckon it's long since been firewood :(

pretty sure it was there in 05.... i can picture it.... it was somewhere on the way between two places (helpful hey...)

Was THIS a figment of my imagination then? :p

It was still there. Just not quite so full on as in previous years. The "G Stage" was the bit they moved up to the dance area & was run by the Glade people.

no, as Tort says there is a sort of Glade stage, but it's more chillout - they had noise problems. Then the rest of the Glade crew worked with the Dance stage crew to make the Dance area absolutely brilliant in '05 - lots of smaller stages, more variety, took the pressure off Lost Vagueness. Got us a regular slot ;)

Don't exaggerate. Plenty of totally non corporate, totally non mainstream places around the site if you look for them.

Actually, give me enough drugs and in the hedge with the dragon has its charms...

the only year I did a "crew" blag we were doing silk lanterns to hang around the dragon...

managed to sew up a hole in someone's marquee, though, so I felt a little better about the blag...

Isn't the point of going to a festival that you don't have to search for good stuff?

i saw someone surfing in a flooded field of tents and I didn't need to go searching for that

I love the Jazz area, best food and music combo IMO.

From there I love watching those entering and leaving the Green Fields. Various states of consciousness.

noooooooo o

actually I half expected to end up waking up trapped inside one of those letters having fallen through from dancing to hard. would have made for an interesting phone call to get rescued...

'help, I'm in love... come and rescue me'

'you're in love? congractulations, who with?'

'no, I'm in love and it's dark and horrible in here and I can't get out...'

etc:D

I'm not going if there's no love like, wonder how one would check on such things:confused:

I'd like to say Lost Vagueness, but TBH after around 20mins there I get bored. Everything there is just, I dunno, kinda trying too hard.

So Jazzworld and pear cider it is :D

It's easy enough to find though. The way the person I was responding to posted, he made Glasto sound as bad or worse than V or suchlike ...

i can pretty much predict the exact spot as well;) :D

you've obviously never been to V then ;)
wouldn't have thought there'd be much point searching for anything good at V...;) :D

though my mates did stumble upon several crates of alcopops sitting out the back of one of the beer tents there one year which promptly got tatted, so I guess there was something good happened at V once:cool:
