Just because some supporters are secretarian doesn't mean people can slag off all supporters. I don't know the OP's views, but i got the view any rangers fan is slagged off. I know rangers & celtic supporters who don't give a wank about the religion aspect, so do hate it if someone slag off my mate/family as an orange bastard or fenian bastard. But i do notice from my neutral perspective it's less unchallenged to slag off rangers fans, i suppose in the same way IRA support is seen as less bad than uvf.

Roughly 90% of my football liking friends are rangers/celtic supporters. They are as bad as each other. For every innocent nice one who gets slagged off theres as many who are violent. I know people beaten up for being celtic fans, i know people beaten up for being rangers fans.
You say 5 celtic fans were murdered by rangers fans, what are you trying to say with that, that celtic supporters aren't violent towards rangers fans. That all the violence and history between the supporters was only or mostly instigated by rangers fans, their both equal blame. That i could walk into any majority celtic area wearing a rangers top and they are less likely to kick the shit out of me than doing the opposite in a rangers area.
Ime and imo but i'm sure it's a fact, of the tens of millions of people who've followed both teams i'm sure the bigotry/hatred/small acts of violence evens out between the two.
But i didn't want to get drawn into that and i should have stuck to the point to avoid getting into that argument.
My original point, it's not fair to call ALL rangers supports slurs like huns and orange bastards and i don't like it when people do, it makes them as bad as anyone with the actual beleifs, bigotry can't be stamped out if people keep using that - as i said if someone starts, retalliate, but don't start it.
