secret garden = organisers parents land

glade = not organisers parents land, just the organisers kinda fell in love with the site and didn't want to move unless they managed to actually find somewhere better, also lots of goodwill built up with the landowner over the years, particularly after the flood year, so you don't want to be throwing that away unless you're 100% sure about the new site.

The new site is to be anounced very soon. 'Half an hour' from the old owe so still in the western homecounties then, Hants, Berks or Oxon.

the old site was beautiful but the ever increasing restrictions on sound and lateness would have killed the festival for sure. The new site is still lovely and the fact it can go on later and louder will, I'm sure, more than make up for it. Change is a good thing

The new site will decay into a huge slimy mud pie at the first whiff off rain. They've had Homelands there in the past and it looked like 2007's Glade with about a 3rd of the rain fall.

is that really where it is? i went to one of those mud-bath homelands for my sins and ended up having to get the fuck out of there at about 5am, the mud was just fucking awful.

i sincerely hope they've done something about the drainage since...

yeah but you're missing the point... underworld alone = ok, but not always that good... underworld at Glade should go off like a fucking rocket launched through a time machine back to the mid 90's before exploding and showering the entire world with love

also, hopefully it'll help sell those extra tickets so that glade can bring it's proper dogs bollocks huge outdoor/indoor main stage out to play again, which will make the entire thing fuckloads batter

I'll admit that I may be getting a wee bit overexcited, but please bear in mind I spent the entire 2004 glasto preparing myself mentally to ensure I fully peaked during orbitals sunday night set... at least that was my excuse for my quarter of pill an hour diet from friday morning onwards, building upto triple dropping half an hour before they came on (while wearing a shiny gold dress and big floppy blue hat).

so, no, not too excited at all... in fact, this is calm by my standards
