giving up veganism, perhaps

Gloworm was a twenty year veggie and was weaned onto meat over a period of about a year. She started off with the gravy and veg from pot roasts and before you knew it was sneaking back into the kitchen at night to finish off the roast with her bare hands. She now eats everything bar cheese as it appears to be dairy and chocolate that upset her tummy.

It's great for me as meat takes so much less effort to cook than making tasty vegetarian food.

So Crustychick I say sod the dairy and go for the kebab.

There's a possibility I'll get flamed for this, but I do believe in giving your body what it screams out for

If I lived by that rule, I'd wade knee deep in the blood of idiots everytime I left the house.

mmmmmm, I've enjoyed this thread... thanks especially to miss b for the reminder of why I'm doing what I'm doing... it's amazing that a bar of milk chocolate can sit in front of me for days on end and I won't even consider eating it... but a bar of G&B's can sit in my cupboard and tempt me from afar ;)

am definitely staying vegan now, for the forseeable future. thanks all :)

Yay! :)

If you want a chat, support or just some recipes/places to buy naughty vegan treats just PM me :)

Evolutionarily it makes more sense to eat meat than drink milk. We're the only species that drinks the milk made for the infants of another species, so it makes sense that it may not be all that good for us.

apparently, one of the major recent shifts in human evolution has been increasing tolerance of milk consumption

I'm sure we adapt to deal with whatever we consume. Even if milk is bad for us.

I bet certain vegetables were bad for humans at one point, but we adapted to them (as well as breeding ones that weren't so bad)
