Just for the record, I don't really care what music others listen to as long as they don't inflict their music choices on me. They have their tastes and I have mine, OK?

I do, however, have a certain difficulty in swallowing all the hype that seems to surround either GA or Doherty (or most modern music) for that matter. I don't really see either of them as having done anything of particular note that hasn't been done before and almost certainly better in some previous era.

My opinion, for what it's worth:

The best of GA is better than the best of the Libs/Babyshambles
But GA's worst is far worse than the Libs/Babyshambles worst. And, boy, that's saying something.

So, ultimately, I vote other.

I don't like girls aloud but I like some of Pete Docherty's stuff. I can't say anything by them has ever grabbed me. Maybe it's cos I'm not 12 and I don't have to listen to the radio for any reason, I like Libertines cos someone I liked told me I would like them and I did
