Getting the internet: will it cause hassle with BT?

If you compare packages, Sky (inc Sky sports) with 16MB unlimited broadband, line rental, fantastic call plan etc is only a tenner more a month than BT's equivalent package. The ethics of the owners aside, why wouldn't you get Sky?

I suppose, it depends what you value more. Sky Sports for an extra tenner, or slightly cheaper on demand tv, music, kids shows and Setanta.

I have Sky at home but personally prefer the interface of BT vision. Only I like to watch MTV and FX, plus I'm on Be Unlimited so I'm not much up for changing things over and signing up for 12 months of BT right now just for that sake.

we have a linksys router , cost about 40 quids a couple of years ago , might be worth getting one if pennies allow :)

oh and sorry if i sounded rude , it was last night , i was pissed and lost my only spliff :(

woe!

I got this netgear thing that cost me a tenner. If you have the internet running on the laptop, the connection on the PC slows to such a trickle it barely registers, and vice-versa. most annoying

I've only ever seen BT Vision at a mate's. I guess they had poor signal, 'cos it was awful. You know the stuttery nonsense you get with digital TV. Is BT Vision just freeview, or does it come down the internet pipe?

Setanta is ok, but Sky Sports is still the daddy.
