Getting from Marylebone to Clapham/Brixton on Wednesday evening

yes, train tickets have been bought :D

this thread isn't giving me a great deal of confidence it must be said :D

pfffft - yes I will come and visit :)

well, i don't know! ideally i would go to our hotel first, drop off our stuff and then go from there to brix, but given i will be travelling at rush hour during a tube strike, it may well be best just to go straight to brixton and minimise the luggage :hmm:

just find the starting point for the No. 2 bus and hope there's seats.

If there's no chance of that or getting on a No. 2 (which are usually very very busy by the time they get to Victoria), get any bus to Victoria and then overground train

Clapham Junction's also an option, but you may have trouble getting on the bus routes there that go to Brixton

hotel????????

you could have stayed here!! (ok, am not in 'bricko', but am a bus ride away)

but yes come and visit any time :)
i thought it would be cheeky to ask seeing as you wouldn't be going to the gig :D

will pm you, definitely up for a less stressful trip to the smoke this summer :) train tickets only £5 too, something wrong there....

Remember also, besides Clapham Junction and London Victoria to Brixton, you could look to see if getting to Streatham Hill is an option

Home time. Byee :D

personally, if there's a strike on, I'd get the bus to victoria then the overland train.

but that would require buying a ticket for the train at victoria (because these trains aren't covered by oyster PAYG) in rush hour, when a tube strike is on. not fun.

no, stay on the no.2 all the way to brixton center. safest and simplest and cheapest way to do it.

sometimes you can get a travel card at rail stations. Mebbe he can ask at Marylebone?

Soz - I meant overground train
not direct. you can go to tulse hill and change to herne hill, then change to brixton. bit stupid really. the overland line through brixton has interchanges with fuck all useful, you see.

Bum :( Don't suppose it intersects with the Bethnal Green overland does it...by some miracle?

nope. that station's just one stop from liverpool street though, where you could pick up the 133 bus direct to brixton

You could get the train from London Bridge to Blackfriars and then Blackfriars to Loughborough Junction or Herne Hill.

Or you can go from London Bridge to Tulse Hill.

You can go from London Bridge to Victoria which will take you through Brixton but doesn't stop because it's on the high level line. You can get off at Clapham High St. Or carry on to Victoria and get the train back from there.

It would probably be quicker to get the bus. Depending which bit of Brixton you want to get to.
