getting back to Brixton...

but not from central london according to the ticket office people.
who knows.

ticker on the telly said all thameslink services had now been suspended, so maybe its just the through traffic.

Thameslink is running from Blackfriars south at the least. It's pretty packed at the best of times though... South-Eastern trains also run from there to Denmark Hill, and they start there so should be fine.

Oh. Well who knows then. Denmark hill for me then.

bus service now running into zone 1, but is going to be ropey.

Probably best to head towards Blackfriars then to catch a bus fro mtheir or elephent if there are no trains running.

Got home about an hour ago... luckily got a lift from one of our couriers at work. Never got out of central London so quickly. About 20 minutes from Regent Street to Brixton.

Buses south of the river seem to be running just about normally - so if you get south, you should be able to get on one.

I hear mainline stations to the south are reopening, which is promising. I really don't fancy walking home from Hammersmith.

If you head for for Barnes or Mortlake, I would have thought you'd be able to pick up something to C Junctin & then bus it to Brixton.

i got home no problem yesterday... walked to lambeth north tube n took the 59... journey topok 50 min which is as long as it takes when the roads r busy. hope everyone is safe.

How far has she got?

followed the river, got a bit unstuck by wandsworth bridge... wandered onto the kings road, crossed the river over battersea bridge and picked up a bus near clapham common.... looked longingly at bikes all the way... ;)

Managed to get a train from Olympia to Clapham Junction and walked from there. I was home by 7. Had to wait nearly an hour for the train though.

Wacthed the cricket for an hour in Hammersmith, then nice easy 211 bus to Victoria and train to Herne Hill. The nly problem was the subsequent failure to the 37 to turn up, which normally happens anyway. (Well, actually, it did turn up, but only after I'd walked almost to Townley Road in the rain, i.e. basically the point where it was barely worth catching).
