Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt talkSPORT owned by Kelvin Mckenzie who used to be the editor of the Sun during the pre Wapping and Wapping days? Author of many dreadful headlines at the time ('Gotcha' in 1982 for instance)

It was acquired in June 2005 by UTV (the former Ulster TV company) and Mackenzie was replaced and is presumably living a healthy lifestyle on any payout he got.

As far as I'm aware there is no particular reason to boycott the company or station - but I'd be interested in whether anyone believes they should and what their reason is.

Among many other terrible things, Mackenzie was also responsible for the dreadful coverage in the Sun of the Hillsborough disaster in 1989 that innacurately claimed Liverpool football fans were responsible for the disaster and other crimes. The Sun created a local anger that has rarely been seen and it has been boycotted by many Liverpool newsagents and residents since. The Sun finally issued a public apology in 2004 claiming it was "the most terrible mistake in its history" (their apology had nothing to do with their buying Wayne Rooney's story by the way ...).

Seems to be full right wing 'shock jocks'. But I always thought about this shock jock phenomenon - 'Just gimme the fukkin microphone! - any full on red-blooded angry lefty can do it better than the right'. So its Galloway's chance. Hope he does it well, and opens the floodgates fror loads more.

Now he's using Top Cat's theme tune for his fucking radio show! And introducing it as The Mother Of All Chatshows.
