Gentlemen, where do you buy your clothes?

Despite googling Ive failed to find out what a YSL dinner shirt is, im that sophisticated like. Cant complain about a quid no matter what that is tho lol.

i didn't know what the fuck it was! i just needed a shirt for wedding, completely missed the fact that it had *proper* cuffs (i fastened them with 25mm M5 bolts + washers and wingnuts), my dad's mate told me what it was

Varies, go clothes shopping very occasionally, as I don't like it, can happily browse for hours in a book shop or record shop, but clothes shop!

tend to get a lot of stuff on-line, always buy levis, john lewis and debenhams are ok online, teeshirts from blacks/millets, proper shirts from m&s, shoes, actually I don't mind going to shoe shops, get 2nd hand levis from Ebay mostly, occasionally buy new ones...don't liked branded stuff in the main - except Levis and the northface stuff

I buy very few clothes and almost exclusively online since giving up on the city centre shops ... for instance I can't find an XXL black crew neck tee shirt anywhere in Bristol.

I buy a big batch of pants from BHS every 5 years - white cotton slips which I have to dye black myself as I can't find them in that colour.

Try Primark. Most of their stuff is aimed at huge people. I can't buy anything bigger than small in Primark - their "small" is what the rest of the world calls "medium".

Ted Baker for shirts and jackets, CM Stores on the Kings Road for jeans. My sister makes sure I only buy stuff that women like. Wearing clothes that don't suit you is not a good way to get laid.

Cos that's what it's all about, after all.

i've not bought any blokes clothes for ages. most of what i have got has been purchased online. a lot of shirts have come from vintage/second hand shops and ebay.

for work stuff: Next

for non work stuff: TKMaxx, Primark, charity shops (I only wear jeans/combat, hoodies and t-shirts).

Darwin wasn't wrong. We are all peacocks. No use pretending otherwise.
Bollocks from me too.

I endeavour to wear exactly the same clothes every day.

My wardrobe consists of as few different types of everything as possible - all cotton and all black, grey, or possibly blue. My laundry is totally trouble-free.

I have a bad habit of buying t-shirts online that have sarcastic messages that are funny the first few times but in the end are just as humourless and depressing as wearing a t-shirt that says "beer ok" or "i like the pope the pope smokes dope". all the t-shirts i like are paper thing and full of holes. my trousers never fit because i buy them in charity shops and am a short man with a sturdy waste. i am an utter ill-fitting wretch. but all the clothes in the shops are designed for blokes who look like braying fuck-headed wank-faced cunts. or are old. it's utterly depressing.

Wherever sells what I want really. If I see something I like and want I buy it regardless of the shop. Although I do have a penchant for Boss at the moment, but I think the last things I bought were DKNY and Zara for Men

Why not get the trousers tailored to fit you. It's what I do and it works.

Is that no' expensive?

Not at all. I pay about 2€ for adjusting the length of trouser legs, about the same for shirt sleeves, but did pay about 25€ to have my Boss suit trousers finished. Since the suit had cost almost 900€ this didn't seem such a bad idea.

depends really, suits and stuff I don't mind H+M cos they do have a size that fits me perfectly and they are smart enough.

jeans I like cheap monday or american apparel. other clothes various department stores. I quite like Merc shirts, decent jackets from Tiger of Sweden or Mads Nørgård. Some of my favourite stuff is from Henrik Vibsko

online, retro shops, Next (i don't care, i don't care, i don't care).

having said that, i remembered today that Carhartt is easily the best for reasonably priced quality clothes. Bench, for example, do some nice looking stuff but it's all made really shonkily. Carhartt always lasts, always looks good and is never unreasonable money wise

Scutta get his clothes from Primark, H&M and charity shops, sometimes topman when I can twist his arm. He's got the odd bit of Carharrt stuff and likes to steal my AA hoodies...

He also wears his Dads old clothes :(

BTW Blue which topman have you tried? Cos you can get much better stuff at the main one in town... the have smaller labels like illustrated people stuff which do skulls n zombie prints, nice! And shoes and good basics

I picked up some Carhartt bits and pieces in the US a couple of weeks ago, loads cheaper than it is here - heavy tee-shirts for £10 and a full zip hooded sweatshirt for £25.

It's considered workwear over there, whereas it's more of a fashion brand here. It's good stuff for knocking about in.
