although I've not been to the barbers in yonks. I grow my hair out in the winter and shave it in the summer. However I shan't use any establishment that lacks a stripey pole

fortunately for me, this apparant sacrifice of my own self-expression masks a pleasant reality: firstly, that the style and length that she cuts it too accurately mirrors my preferred haircut; and secondly, it saves me money and having to talk to hairdressers who invariably don't understand my needs.
