Gameswipe - Charlie Brooker

I think he meant the Vlad mission.
(Killing Vlad.)

I haven't got around to playing GTA4 yet but, to follow traffic around would be retarded, he seemed like he had quite good gaming experience.......... So was that mission a mission were you needed to stay clean from the police? if not he must be a idiot. :)

I think Dara might be a bit confused :D
Did the Vlad mission ages ago and probably had to lose wanted level as is often the case on missions.
I try to drive well esp when i have a flash car and always on the look out for the Old Bill.(Tend to bump them just when i don't need their attention.)

But that's the beauty of GTA IV,you can play it how you want.

The funniest part of the show was your guy unable to beat the Beserker, possibly the easiest pseudo boss in the game.

Gameswipe

Watched this on iplayer today, as a child of the 90's who's an avid gamer particuarly liked the cuts of gamesmaster and all of the old console games I loved.
Can't make up my mind about Charlie Brooker though, on the one hand he is dry and funny but I can't help feeling his presenting style is a little contrived. Maybe I should just think fuck it and crack open the old SNES games, (really enjoyed daras contribution).

I don't think it's Charlie Brooker at his best, but because I love computer games it didn't matter so much.

He couldn't get away with a series, surely?

However, the rate at which Brooker goes through subjects, then a 6 or 8 episode series would be perfectly do-able until his next target.

A monthly show could work. Weekly would be pointless as there wouldn't be enough games for him to review, which would be the focus of such a show imo.

I agreed with everything Dara O Briain said; I've still never bothered to open up the second island on Vice City, for Christ's sake...

San Andreas had levels were there were massive fucking commutes. I really don't like a game where I need to get into a car drive to an airport, fly across the map for ten minutes, and then try and land somewhere, get out and drive to the location, before I can even start the fucking mission.

He missed a trick not including a 12 year old Simon Amstell on Gamesmaster.

I'll happily get my gaming sarcasm from penny arcade.

And honestly this is clearest and most elegant understanding of Phil Dwyer ever.
