This thread proves that there is no such thing as the perfect game that will be universally loved. And a bloody good thing too. It's fascinating to see how people can hate something that other people love, often for exactly the same reason in both cases.

I agree with Filter, incidentally, about GTA. I'm stupid though -- I know that I don't like the GTA series but I STILL got suckered into buying GTAIV, which I played a few hours of and then gave up on. Gah!
