Gadget fans! Do you cosset them with cases or treat 'em rough?

maybe a non-obstrusive skin case.....but lets be honest these days gadgets are about functionality not durability....they come and go...it's what they can do for me godammit.....the only things that differ are my trusty 1200's......still going strong after these years...however they haven't changed price much in 10 -15 years - god they must have SO been expensive then ...compared to phones and shit which just have shelf life of a year or two and a price to match...

PDAs get a case. The screens are too expensive to be replacing often, and they go wrong more often. Apart from that I don't care a lot to be honest.

Camera, media player - yes. Phone, no.

I can't believe I've only got 3 gadgets....

Don't see the point in cosseting a phone - it's more of a tool afaic, gets replaced every couple of years, etc. Not to mention that people who insist on keeping their mobile in one of those skin tight, phone condom type cases are more than a bit sad....!
