At least five instances (between 1997 and 2002) that I was personally aware of in which complaints about disclosure officers were made and in which they faced disciplinary proceedings, proven in at least three of the five cases.

If there was no case to answer and the poor innocent, pure as the driven snow, policeman has been under suspicion for all this time, then he has suffered unnecessary stress over the months and should get compensation.

I wonder if the police have found out how the video evidence was manipulated to make it look like he hit the woman. We need to know how it was done so that we are not taken in by similar videos in the future.
