G20 protest: Officer charged

so asking a copper what he was up to and standing up for yourself and right to protest is acting 'equally as wrong' as slapping someone nearly half your size backhanded across the face with gloves on?

is it really?

why no say 'she was asking for it' JJ?

are you a general authority apologist or just got filth in the family?

you read and reword what i said anyway you want

all i know is if a copper pushes me back and says go away.. especially when they are policing a situation that is a public disorder....

i do it

i dont go back and say "eh what they feck you mean eh?

no she did not deserve a smack in the face. yes the copper should be done for assault

but yes she did put herself in a situation where she received violence

the first rule of "self defence" is dont put yourself in a situation where you are exposed to violence

to do it 3 times is just stupid at best

demonstrative at worst

but hey, you are at war no?

indeed.. you thinking of a KLF moment? :)

or how about she wins the compo or when (if she hasnt already) gets the payout for selling her "story" to the junk media.. she gives it to the family of Ian Tomlinson? they have lost their breadwinner, they need the cash and she was so determined to go to his vigil....

that would be the morally superior thing to do

but she wont now will she?

Yeah, if the copper had known she'd go to Max Clifford he'd never have hit her in the first place....Right?

The right to protest without getting a slap from a copper goes out the window:facepalm:

simple question

was his use of force by slapping the woman across the legs with a batton and across the face with his big hand justifiable or not?

no buts just a yes or no please
thanks

The right to protest without getting a slap from a copper goes out the window:facepalm:

i think youll find its the right to PEACEFUL protest

shouting and swearing in public is not peaceful, its a public order offence

and i have never said at any point his actions were right or justified

and ive also said he should be held to account for it

you keep conveniently forgetting that bit

as i have already said in this thread NO, a big FUCKING NO :)

ok

her behaviour also was unjustifiable although did not deserve or require the response it got

but if she wasnt there.... it wouldnt have happened

we have a responsibility to keep ourselves out of violence too

cheap liar. All the caveats can't disguise your cheap attempts to muddy the waters by mentioning clifford and laying out reasons why it's justifiable to smack someone in the mouth when they have both hands full.

Meal for your mouth sir?

i spy a 'but' you snivelling little worm!

hey if you don't like this forum, why not go POST SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Fucking right i'd be keeping the money.

Pity it's only one officer charged though, there were loads going on the rampage.

shared responsibility is it?

so whose paying for the criminal damage caused by the protesters?

whose paying for the cost of policing the protests?

why? didnt say i didnt like the forum

i dont like the immature class war attitude of some of its posters, but i dont hold the forum responsible for that

i dont like the winging that goes on about how the whole state is out to get you

i dont like the fact you cannot express an opinion that isnt supportive of the popular politic with attracting a torrent of abuse

but have never said i dont like the forum

You get abuse for not being able to actually engage with arguments without charicaturing them in the above manner.

Lick the jackboot or wear it:facepalm:

i dont like the winging that goes on about how the whole state is out to get you

who said that? you just made it up in your head. Just winging it in this discussion aren't you?
i dont like the fact you cannot express an opinion that isnt supportive of the popular politic with attracting a torrent of abuse

you can express an opinion, and I can call it shite. Don't take recourse to 'herd mentality' wafflings just because you are getting called on stinky opinions

but have never said i dont like the forum[/QUOTE]
