You are aware that Bacardi have even got their claws into this one & now own both the name, recipe & rights for US distribution.

mc5 letting thier tunes be used by levi, bob dylan signing to starbucks were both far worse then groove armada signing to bacardi.

Those two at least feigned an anti-corperate message. Most people know who groove armada are through the bloody megane advert.(and one before probabley)

When has Dylan said anything anti-corporate?

I can't think of anything sadder than ad jingle hawking has beens so far today. If some cunt in bacardi reckons they still have 'it' 10 years after their renault and m&s hits, he should be sacked post haste. Binliner, security guard escort, 10 minutes to get the fuck out.

They've got shit now anyway, well, I say got shit. I mean shit-er.

I want to go to miami though.....

Feh, none of this really bothers me. As long as they keep making the music they like they can be sponcered by anyone, who really cares?

I think the white stripes should have done the million quid gap ad. Would it have made them any worse? No . As long as a band does a deal on there own terms then why not? Its getting harder for bands to make money these days I think.

I write tv and ad music to make money, does that make me a sell out?

PS I quite like that song with Munta and GA

".. and that performance of "Fuck The Man And Kill The System" was brought to you by tour sponsors Budweiser Inc, makers of America's finest beer."

They'd be a sell out anyway if they signed back with their old label Columbia (owned by Sony BMG) so what difference does it make?

They're just chosing not to go down the route of a 5 album deal (optioned) with promotional commitments and delivery subjected to the label's say-so. I'd have done the same thing actually.

You're ignoring the issue of WHO they've signed with
