I reckon the amanager is the most importent position on the pitch. You can have the talent in the world playing for you but with a shit manager the team is rudderless and crap. Isn't it scolari!

I think wingers are the most importent psoiton in the game.

As a winger I'm inclined to agree. Although at the level I play the most important person on the pitch is whoever has remembered to bring the makings of the all-important half time spliff

This makes me think of the French 1998 team, who had an all-time great back four in Thuram, Desailly, Blanc and Lizarazu. Now Thuram was firstly a centre back for Parma at the time, and Lizarazu was a very attacking left back, so by playing Thuram, as well as Deschamps sitting deep in the midfield, at RB it allowed Lizarazu a bit of freedom to attack. I guess this shows that a great team is a single organism, all dependent on one another (OK that team didn't have a decent centre forward but you get my point).
