fucking bastard sky installation man prick argh mehh

Not smug, just an opinion. To me it's daft to pay so much money to watch repeats. I can get the DVDs cheaper and watch them whenever I want. get a bigger selection as well.
Try timing the ad breaks on such as Sky 1. It works out at about 20 minutes in every hour. That's crap but it's up to you really if you are willing to pay for it.

I remain of the opinion that it's a total waste of money.

Thing is, i use it for sports/radio/news and the occasional repeat of a programme i enjoy. So its not just repeats to me. Sport gives me something new to enjoy every week atleast. Oh and documentaries to.

Clear in your mind. My point is that TV is crap for the most part and Sky TV is just a massive number of crap channels repeating more than ever before with adverts a plenty. People pay silly quid a month for that?

Indeed you have no need to justify an activity that hurts no one to anyone.
Your feeling the need to suggests that you can see my point that sky is expensive shit.
I said it's quite expensive, I didn't say it's shit. If I could afford it I'd subscribe to Arts just for Theatreland alone. If I had terrestrial reception and could afford it I'd still have Sky for the movies and for arts and for the history documentaries. I was initially challenging your assumption that no-one needs Sky, that's all.

Anyway, no-ones saying you should watch tv so why don't you switch off your computer set and go and do something less boring instead? :)

If you have sky+ you don't have to watch the adverts :D

I still maintain that no one actually needs it. Some people may decide silly pounds a month is worth it but you have to remember it's only since 1990 or so that sky became popular. In the space of 19 years they have managed to convince a lot of people they really need to spend daft money.
Amstrad 100+external decoder/60cm dish system with subs at 7.99 a month for films with all other channels free . I also recall Sky telling the world they were not going to raise the subs. Was that true?
I've only just switched on my computer after making about the same amount of cash in ten minutes as most here make in four months. Now that was smug :D.

That line would make a good title for a crap TV show so it wasn't wasted. :)

Well, it probably explains the trajectory of my love life up till now but I'm emminently more interested in a skint bloke who'll cwtch up with me to watch a movie than someone who has money. I have a disinterest in money that verges on distaste.

tbh if you can get sky you should be able to get freesat

uses the same sattelite i think

our freesat box uses an old sky dish
I looked into it before. I can't remember what the problem was. I'm tied to sky for a bit until my contract's up but I like what sky offers me right now
