To be honest the company should provide the receptionists a secure location to put their bags because this happens a lot.

I once left our trainee receptionist alone while i ran out to get lunch for the big board wankers who had just arrived, get back 20 minutes later and there is some geezer wandering about selling duvets and pillows to people in the office I kicked them out quite quickly apparently she had not noticed him wandering in
